Dear Neighbor,
When I appointed Jack O'Brien to take my seat as trustee, I selected him because he has demonstrated
these qualities. I'm asking you to elect him for the same reason.
The Village of Malverne faces many challenges ahead. We need elected leaders who can be trusted to
protect the assets and the character of our village and who have been proven to work hard for all residents
while demanding accountability and the highest ethical standards.
I've been proud to work side-by-side with Jack during the past year. Together we've completed the
restoration of Carbone Toddler Park while completing the project $20,000 under budget, and we're working
on plans to improve the look of Westwood Park.
Jack has demonstrated his ability to be effective working with the Library Board to help improve services
and value for Malverne residents. This year marked a smooth transition with a new Library Director, a new
board president and a proposed budget that makes sense.
Everyone on the Board brings their different strengths and skills to help inform us and assist in making the
tough decisions that we face. Clearly his background as an accountant with an MBA in Finance makes Jack
an essential member of this team. The experience he has gained in his professional capacity at the Bank of
New York Mellon as Vice President, Internal Audit – Financial Controls is invaluable as we find new
efficiency and ways to better control our taxes. He has the experience and the ethics that all residents can
trust.
I am pleased to give my full support to Jack O'Brien for election as Malverne Trustee.
Please Vote for Jack O'Brien on Row B at the Fire House on
Tuesday, March 18th.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Patti McDonald
