Mayor McDonald appointed Perry Cuocci to the Village Board in November of 2016 to fill the vacancy left by Tony Marino. Perry is currently serving as the Commissioner of DPW and liaison to the Office of Emergency Management (OEM).

Perry moved into Malverne in 2001 to join his wife of 16 years, AnnMarie, who moved from North Valley Stream to Malverne in 1995. Now joined by their 12 year old daughter Michelle they make Malverne not only their home but part of the fabric of the family.

Perry joined the Malverne Volunteer Ambulance Corps (MVAC) back in 2007 and is still serving as an active member, both as an Officer and EMT. Perry has held the positions of President, Vice President, and Member of the Board of Directors in his ten year tenure with the Corps. In addition to his responsibilities as an Officer of the Corps he still maintains an active role in keeping the ambulance in service and parked in front of his home awaiting a medical call for a resident in need. During his tenure Perry has responded to over 800 calls for medical attention and has logged thousands of hours of in service time with the ambulance.

Perry recently completed a meritorious career as a Special Agent with the FBI. During his tenure with the FBI Perry conducted complex Organized Crime, Public Corruption, White Collar, and Terrorism investigations.  Perry also lent assistance with investigations and investigative techniques throughout the United States and Europe. Perry retired from the FBI after serving more than 20 years in July of 2016. Perry accepted a position with Con Edison in their Corporate Security department.

Prior to joining the FBI Perry worked as a Legislative Director for a NYS Assemblyman for seven years. Perry implemented the Assemblyman’s Legislative Agenda and was responsible for guiding legislation through the State Legislature in Albany and ultimately getting it signed into law by the NYS Governor.

Perry graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1986 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Political Science. Perry still maintains a relationship with his Alma Matter by remaining active in their Alumni Association. In addition Perry is a member of the the Federal Law Enforcement Association as well as The Society of Former FBI Agents Association.
